Can you also service VSP G200/G400 and HUS that are already EOSL?

Yes, this is a focus area. VSP G200/G400/G600/G800 (market launch 2014–2015, EOSL 2022–2023) and the HUS family (HUS 110/130/150 and HUS VM, long since EOSL) are still in production in many DACH banks and insurance companies. We stock disks, cache modules, controller FRUs and power supplies for these generations.

Which SLA tiers for VSP?

Parts Only, 5×9 NBD, 24×7×4 — all freely selectable. For VSP we typically recommend 24×7×4 due to business criticality. For VSP 5000 in mainframe environments 24×7×4 is effectively standard.

What happens with Hitachi Ops Center and Storage Navigator?

Storage Navigator as an integrated management tool is part of the storage system and continues to run. Hitachi Ops Center (cloud telemetry, capacity management) requires an active Hitachi contract. Anyone not actively using Ops Center can redirect the entire Hitachi support budget to TPM.

Does this also apply to mainframe-attached VSP?

Yes. VSP 5000-series and older VSP G1000/G1500 with FICON attachment to z/OS mainframes we service in full at the hardware layer. FICON connectivity remains unchanged. For mainframe configurations we generally recommend 24×7×4 due to business criticality.

Hitachi Vantara has a special DACH position — VSP platforms are often deployed in banks, insurers and mainframe environments where stability matters more than latest generation. Hitachi Support is above-average expensive, and for EOSL platforms like VSP G200/G400 or the HUS family, renewal is effectively no longer offered.

We service all VSP generations with OEM original parts — disks (FC, SAS, SSD of all generations), cache modules, controller FRUs, FibreChannel adapters. Hitachi Storage Navigator as integrated management tool continues to work.
