We service Hitachi VSP G1000 and VSP G1500 enterprise storage after Hitachi Vantara Service expiration. High-end platforms with USP architecture, Universal Replicator and SVOS storage virtualization, deployed as tier-1 storage in DACH banks/insurance/SAP HANA.
Which VSP G1000 / G1500 configurations we service
VSP G1000 (2014) and VSP G1500 (2017) are Hitachi's Virtual Storage Platform enterprise tier. Unlike mid-range G200-G800, G1000/G1500 have USP backplane with up to 16 DKC modules, 8 PB capacity and 192 16Gb/32Gb FC host ports.
Why TPM for VSP G1000/G1500 instead of Hitachi Vantara Service
Hitachi Vantara pushed VSP 5000 line (5000-5900) and positioned G1000/G1500 as legacy-customer platforms. Vantara Service for G1000 is getting expensive. G1000/G1500 in DACH banks with FICON mainframe and SAP HANA with URZ Multi-Site / Global Active Device — 24-36 month migration projects.
We stock DKC modules, DKA modules, cache modules (256 GB - 2 TB), 16/32Gb FC host adapters, NVMe AFA modules (G1500), disk trays (2U/4U) and SAS/NL-SAS/SSD disks of all generations.

EOSL status of VSP G1000 / G1500
Hitachi Vantara moved VSP G1000 to EOSL stepwise since 2022; G1500 runs until 2026 with active Vantara Service. Older G1000 configs: renewal difficult.

One contract for Hitachi VSP G1000/G1500 and all other storage vendors.
SVOS stays functional
SVOS, Universal Replicator (URZ Multi-Site), TrueCopy (sync), Hitachi Global Active Device (stretched cluster), Dynamic Tiering and Compatible PAV (z/OS) stay fully functional without active Vantara contract.
VSP 5000 migration consulting
Migration consulting to VSP 5000/5200/5500/5600 included. URZ replication topology conversion, FICON re-config and workload migration documented.
