Account Manager (m/f/d)

Full-time · Permanent Hahnstätten · hybrid · travel within DACH

Own existing accounts and win new third-party maintenance contracts for server, storage and networking hardware. Direct line to management, lean hierarchy, clear commission path.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a portfolio of mid-market and enterprise customers across DACH
  • First contact, needs analysis, pricing and quoting of multi-year maintenance contracts
  • Drive the renewal pipeline: prepare and lock in extensions ahead of contract end
  • Prepare and run tenders together with the Head of Sales
  • Clean Pipedrive hygiene including forecast and per-account notes
  • Close coordination with Service Delivery on SLA topics and escalations
  • Represent TechCare at vendor, reseller and industry events (HPE, Dell EMC, Cisco, NetApp etc.)

Your profile

  • Several years of B2B IT sales experience — ideally hardware, maintenance, managed services or infrastructure
  • Fluent German (C1+) and solid business English (B2+)
  • Hunter and farmer in one person — you win new accounts and grow existing ones
  • Structured working style, strong CRM hygiene, reliable forecasting
  • Confident at C-level (IT, procurement, CFO) — no pitch-deck theatre required
  • Willing to travel across DACH (~20–30 %), driver's licence class B
  • Bonus: existing contacts at resellers, OEM sales teams or ITAD providers

Field Engineer (m/f/d)

Full-time · Permanent DACH region · home base Hahnstätten

Replace server, storage and networking components on-site at customer locations — vendor-independent, with OEM-original spare parts and clean ticket documentation. Real hands-on work, no Tier-1 filter.

Responsibilities

  • Hardware replacement on-site: servers, storage arrays, switches, tape libraries and components (DIMM, HDD/SSD, PSU, controllers)
  • Installations, relocations and de-installations in customer data centres per spec
  • Diagnostics following OEM procedures (HPE, Dell EMC, Cisco, IBM, NetApp, Fujitsu, Lenovo …) — log files, iLO/iDRAC, maintenance tools
  • Clean ticket documentation including photo evidence, serial numbers and part numbers
  • Daily dispatch with the Service Delivery Manager — spare-parts logistics, sequencing, SLA deadlines
  • Escalation to L3 engineering when in doubt — no solo heroics on critical issues
  • Return defective parts to the Hahnstätten warehouse and maintain the regional spare-parts depot

Your profile

  • Completed vocational training as IT systems engineer (Fachinformatiker:in Systemintegration) or equivalent technical qualification
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise hardware from at least one major OEM (HPE, Dell EMC, Cisco, IBM, NetApp, Fujitsu, Lenovo, Hitachi)
  • Confident with rack equipment, cabling and data centre etiquette (ESD, fire safety, change windows)
  • Fluent German (B2+), solid English (B1+) — customer communication and OEM docs in English
  • Driver's licence class B and willing to travel across DACH (day trips, occasional overnight stays)
  • Structured, documentation-oriented, calm under escalation pressure
  • Bonus: certifications (HPE ASE, Dell EMC Proven Professional, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, NetApp NCSA etc.)
