Why TPM maintenance instead of HPE Foundation Care / Pointnext

HPE storage maintenance via Pointnext and Foundation Care is above market average. For EOSL 3PAR 7000/8000 generations, HPE has effectively discontinued renewal. We are the economic alternative.

We service all platforms with OEM parts. InfoSight (cloud analytics) remains limited — cloud telemetry requires active HPE contract. Customers not using cloud features actively redirect the Foundation Care budget to TPM.

EOSL status of major generations

Once the vendor ends official support, renewals become unavailable or disproportionately expensive. TPM closes exactly this gap — same hardware coverage, same SLA, significantly cheaper.

3PAR StoreServ (7000, 8000, 9000, 20000), Primera, Alletra (4000/5000/6000/9000), Nimble (CS, HF, AF), MSA (1040 to 2062), StoreOnce. Older XP and EVA on request.
What does TPM cost compared to Foundation Care?
30 to 60 percent savings, up to 70 percent on EOSL models. A 3PAR 8400 with 24×7×4 costs 9,000–14,000 EUR/year with HPE, 3,500–6,000 EUR with TechCare.
Can you service EOSL 3PAR 7000/8000?
Yes, a focus area. 3PAR 7200/7400/7440 (EOSL 2021) and 3PAR 8200/8400/8440 (EOSL 2023) still productive in DACH. Disks, controller nodes, cache modules and PSUs in stock.
What about InfoSight and HPE OneView?
InfoSight (cloud analytics) requires active HPE contract. Active users keep HPE subscription for software layer. OneView as local tool continues to work.
Which SLA levels for storage?
Parts Only, 5×9 NBD, 24×7×4. For storage we recommend 24×7×4. For StoreOnce backup 5×9 NBD may suffice.
Do we lose the warranty?
No. Factory warranty and Foundation Care are contractual.
How fast do we get a quote?
Within 48 hours after receiving your inventory list.
Does this apply to Nimble HF/AF and Alletra?
Yes. Nimble HF and AF, plus Alletra 5000/6000/9000 — technologically close to Nimble heritage.
