ORACLE EXADATA MAINTENANCE · TPM AFTER PREMIER SUPPORT

Oracle Exadata Maintenance — vendor-independent service for X5, X6, X7, X8M and X9M

We service Oracle Exadata Database Machines at hardware level after Oracle Premier Support expiration — vendor-independent, with OEM parts and SLA up to 24×7×4. Database servers, cell storage servers, InfiniBand/RoCE switches, PDUs. Oracle Database software stays with Oracle — we handle hardware.

Which Oracle Exadata models we service

Exadata is Oracle's engineered system for their own database — the most expensive hardware class. We service all generations from eighth-rack X3-2 to full-rack X9M-8. We separate transparently: hardware is us, database is Oracle.

Exadata X5-2 / X6-2
Eighth-Rack · Quarter-Rack · Half-Rack · Full-Rack-Konfigurationen
Exadata X7-2 / X8-2
Eighth-Rack · Quarter-Rack · Half-Rack · Full-Rack · Storage-Server-Erweiterungen
Exadata X8M-2 (RoCE-Generation)
Erste RoCE-100-GbE-Architektur · Eighth bis Full Rack
Exadata X9M-2 / X9M-8 (aktuell)
X9M-2 (1S, 2S Compute) · X9M-8 (8-Socket Compute) · ZDLRA als Sub-Variante
ältere Generationen
Exadata X3-2 · X4-2 (auf Anfrage)
Storage Cells (separat)
X5-2L · X6-2L · X7-2L · X8-2L · X8M-2L · X9M-2L Storage Server

Why TPM maintenance instead of Oracle Premier Support (Exadata)

Oracle Premier Support for Exadata is above-average expensive — Oracle tends to couple hardware support to database licenses. For X5-2 and X6-2 reaching EOSL, Premier Support is often no longer renewed.

We separate clearly: hardware maintenance is us (compute nodes, cell storage, switches, PDUs, disks, memory, PSUs). Oracle Database, Exadata software, Oracle Linux stay with Oracle.

Generations timeline & TPM coverage

Per hardware generation: vendor phase (slate) and TechCare coverage window (teal) up to ~5 years post-OEM EOSL.

EOSL status of major generations

Once the vendor ends official support, renewals become unavailable or disproportionately expensive. TPM closes exactly this gap — same hardware coverage, same SLA, significantly cheaper.

FAQ on Oracle Exadata maintenance

Which Exadata generations do you service?
X5-2 to X9M-8. Older X3-2 and X4-2 on request. Including storage server extensions and ZDLRA.
What does TPM cost compared to Oracle Premier Support?
30 to 60 percent savings, up to 70 percent on EOSL models. A quarter-rack X7-2 with 24×7×4 costs 35,000–55,000 EUR/year with Oracle, 14,000–22,000 EUR with TechCare.
What about database software and Exadata software?
We separate cleanly: hardware is us, Oracle Database, Exadata Software, Oracle Linux stay with Oracle.
Can you service X5-2 and X6-2?
Yes. X5-2 (EOSL 2022) and X6-2 (EOSL 2024) still productive. Memory, disks, InfiniBand switches, PSUs and FRUs in stock.
Which SLA levels for Exadata?
24×7×4 is standard. 5×9 NBD only for test/dev. 24×7×2 on request for highly critical workloads.
What about InfiniBand and RoCE switches?
We service both: InfiniBand (X3-2 to X8-2) and RoCE 100 GbE (from X8M-2 onwards).
Do we lose the Oracle warranty?
No. Factory warranty and Premier Support are contractual. Database licenses and support are separate Oracle contracts.
Does this apply to Oracle ZDLRA?
Yes. ZDLRA is built on Exadata hardware. We service the hardware layer.
