Nutanix Hardware Maintenance — vendor-independent service for NX, ThinkAgile HX and Dell XC
We service the hardware layer of Nutanix platforms — Nutanix NX (Supermicro-based), Lenovo ThinkAgile HX, Dell XC, HPE DX and Cisco UCS-Nutanix bundles. With OEM original parts and SLA up to 24×7×4. Also in the EOSL period. Nutanix AOS, Prism, Calm, Files, Objects as software subscriptions stay with Nutanix. Typical TPM topics at the compute layer: BMC/iLO/iDRAC firmware updates without OEM login (lockout risk after contract end), DIMM failures as the most frequent server defect, and BIOS CPU microcode patches for Spectre/Meltdown-class vulnerabilities.

How does TPM compare to the OEM contract?
Example Nutanix NX-3060-G7 cluster (3 nodes) with 4-year Production Support: EUR 9,000–13,000/year OEM, EUR 5,700–6,100/year with TechCare TPM (hardware-only).
- EOSL hardware: On EOSL hardware (NX generations before G6, ThinkAgile HX1320/HX2320, Dell XC430/XC630) 50–65 % savings vs. Production Support — hardware maintenance separate from AOS subscription.
- Multi-year contract: 3-year TPM contract: additional 5–10 % discount, 5-year contract: 10–15 %. Plus fixed-price lock against OEM list-price increases.
- AOS / Prism software updates + licenses
- Calm / Era / Files subscriptions
- Nutanix TAC software tickets + cluster quorum support
- Hardware defects (memory, disk, PSU, mainboard, modules)
- 24×7×4 on-site SLA with German-speaking field service
- Spare-parts logistics DACH + global hub network
- Fixed-price contract in 48 h, one inventory — one contract
Why Nutanix maintenance via TechCare instead of Nutanix Production Support / Hardware OEM Support
Nutanix is software-centric: AOS (Acropolis OS), Prism (management), Calm (automation), Files and Objects (storage services). The hardware layer is manufactured by various OEMs — Supermicro for NX series, Lenovo for ThinkAgile HX, Dell for XC, HPE for DX, Cisco for UCS-Nutanix bundles. In the lifecycle two separate service layers emerge: Nutanix for software, respective OEM for hardware. Both get more expensive.
We service the hardware layer of all certified Nutanix platforms with OEM original parts. Nutanix AOS subscription, Prism licenses, software updates and software support stay with Nutanix. For hardware defects we are your direct contact — no triage pingpong between multiple vendors.
Compute-specific TPM topics: BMC/iLO/iDRAC firmware updates without OEM subscription, DIMM failure diagnostics (the most common server defect after PSU), and BIOS CPU microcode patches for Spectre-/Meltdown-class vulnerabilities — also post-EoSL via mirror repositories.
