HPE Superdome & Integrity Maintenance — vendor-independent service for mission-critical platforms

Which HPE Superdome / Integrity models we service

Mission-critical hardware is rarely replaced in the European market — Superdome and Integrity platforms often run for 12-15 years. HPE Pointnext for mission-critical is positioned in the premium segment.

Why TPM maintenance instead of HPE Pointnext (Mission-Critical)

HPE Pointnext for mission-critical compute is in the highest premium segment — Superdome 2 and older Integrity rx2800/rx6600 reach maintenance costs suggesting a Tier-1 refresh. In DACH banks and SAP HANA environments these platforms run stably for 12-15 years.

We service Superdome Flex (current), Superdome X, Superdome 2 (Itanium) and Integrity rx series with OEM original parts. HP-UX and OpenVMS as operating systems continue to work. SAP HANA hardware certificates remain valid.

Generations timeline & TPM coverage

Per hardware generation: vendor phase (slate) and TechCare coverage window (teal) up to ~5 years post-OEM EOSL.

EOSL status of major generations

Once the vendor ends official support, renewals become unavailable or disproportionately expensive. TPM closes exactly this gap — same hardware coverage, same SLA, significantly cheaper.

FAQ on HPE Superdome / Integrity maintenance

Which HPE mission-critical hardware do you service?
We service Superdome Flex 240/280 (current), Superdome X (X86 predecessor), Superdome 2 (Itanium) and older Integrity rx series.
What does TPM cost for Superdome compared to HPE Pointnext?
30 to 60 percent savings vs. HPE Pointnext, up to 70 percent on EOSL platforms. A Superdome 2 SD2-32 with 24×7×4 costs 18,000 to 28,000 EUR/year with HPE, 8,000 to 12,000 EUR with TechCare.
Can you service Itanium-based Integrity rx servers?
Yes. Integrity rx2800-i4/i6, rx6600 and rx8640 are 10-15 years old in many DACH bank data centers (HP-UX workloads) and SAP environments and still running. Itanium parts we source via established secondary markets.
What about HP-UX and VMS on Itanium?
HP-UX and OpenVMS as operating systems continue to work as part of the hardware configuration. Code updates for newer HP-UX versions are limited without active HPE contract.
Which SLA levels for mission-critical?
For mission-critical hardware we generally recommend 24×7×4. These platforms run Tier-1 workloads (bank core, SAP HANA, OpenVMS applications) — failures have immediate business impact.
Is iLO and Insight Manager fully functional?
Yes. iLO and Insight Manager as management layer continue to work as part of the hardware.
Do we lose the warranty?
No. Factory warranty and HPE Pointnext are contractual services.
