EOSL status of PowerEdge generations

Once Dell ends official support for a generation (typically seven years after release), ProSupport extensions are either no longer offered or become disproportionately expensive. TPM closes exactly this gap — with the same hardware coverage, the same SLA, significantly cheaper.

Which Dell PowerEdge models do you service?
We service all Dell PowerEdge servers from the R210/R310 generation up to the current R650/R750/R760. Including tower servers (T140 to T640), modular systems (M620, MX740c, MX840c) and the cloud-oriented C-series. Including older end-of-service-life models like R720, R730 or R740.
What does TPM cost compared to Dell ProSupport?
In the DACH mid-market we typically see 30 to 60 percent savings vs. Dell ProSupport or ProSupport Plus. For EOSL servers, savings reach up to 70 percent. A PowerEdge R740 with 4-hour onsite contract costs about 1,800 to 2,400 EUR/year with Dell, 700 to 1,100 EUR with TechCare.
Can you service PowerEdge servers that are already End-of-Service-Life?
Yes, this is even one of our core areas. Once Dell ends official support (typically seven years after release), we take over full maintenance including parts, onsite engineer and SLA. We maintain our own parts warehouse with used and refurbished OEM original parts.
Which SLA levels do you offer for PowerEdge?
We cover all common SLA levels: Parts Only with 4-hour shipping, 5×9 Next Business Day with onsite engineer during business hours, and 24×7×4 with guaranteed 4-hour onsite response around the clock. SLA can be chosen per site or per server.
Do we lose the warranty when switching from Dell ProSupport?
No. Dell's hardware warranty covers factory warranty and ProSupport — both are contractual services, not rights tied to hardware ownership. After factory warranty expires, you are free to choose any maintenance partner.
What about Dell-specific diagnostics like iDRAC or OpenManage?
These tools remain fully usable. iDRAC is part of the hardware and is not touched by the maintenance partner. Firmware updates for iDRAC and BIOS remain freely accessible via the Dell support portal, even without active ProSupport.
How fast do we get a quote?
Within 48 hours of receiving your inventory list (service tags or model and serial number) you get a binding fixed-price quote with a clear comparison to OEM maintenance.
Does this also apply to Dell Storage like PowerVault or Compellent?
Yes. We also service Dell storage systems: PowerVault (MD and ME series), Compellent SC, EqualLogic, Unity, PowerStore and PowerScale (formerly Isilon). Same SLA options as for servers.
