JUNIPER MIST · TPM FOR CLOUD-MANAGED WIRELESS

Juniper Mist AP Maintenance — hardware replacement service for cloud-managed wireless

We service Juniper Mist Access Points via a hardware replacement service — vendor-independent, with OEM Mist APs from our own warehouse and SLA up to 24×7×4. Complete family: AP12, AP21, AP32, AP33, AP41, AP43, AP63, AP64. Important: TPM replaces only the hardware layer — the Mist Cloud subscription with AI-driven networking, Marvis Virtual Network Assistant, Wired Assurance and all cloud features stays independent with Juniper. 30 to 50 percent below Juniper Care for hardware maintenance.

Which Mist AP models we service

Mist Access Points are cloud-managed wireless APs with AI-driven networking features. The family covers the entire wireless spectrum — indoor wall plate (AP12) to outdoor hardened (AP64). Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E in current models, Wi-Fi 5 in older AP21/AP41 generations.

Indoor entry & wall plate
AP12 (wall plate, hospitality) · AP21 (indoor entry, Wi-Fi 5)
Indoor mid-density
AP32 (Wi-Fi 6) · AP33 (Wi-Fi 6E)
Indoor high-density
AP41 (Wi-Fi 5/6) · AP43 (Wi-Fi 6/6E)
Outdoor & hardened
AP63 (outdoor, Wi-Fi 6) · AP64 (hardened, Wi-Fi 6/6E)

Why TPM maintenance for Mist APs

Mist is a hybrid model — the AP hardware is on-premise at the site, but management and AI functions run in the Mist Cloud. Maintenance must consider these two layers separately: Mist Cloud subscription for AI-driven networking, Marvis Virtual Network Assistant, Wired Assurance and all cloud features must stay with Juniper — TPM cannot replace this because it's a cloud service. What TPM replaces very well is the hardware replacement layer: with AP defects (damage, firmware bricking, hardware failure) you need quick replacement hardware, and that's exactly what we deliver 30-50 percent cheaper than Juniper Care.

We stock all Mist AP generations — AP12/AP21 for refresh needs in hospitality and smaller office environments, AP32/AP33/AP41/AP43 for mid-density indoor sites, AP63/AP64 for outdoor and hardened use cases (logistics centers, production halls, outdoor areas). For large fleets with 100+ APs DACH-wide, the TPM replacement pipeline is faster than typical Juniper Care RMA processes — 24×7×4 onsite replacement vs. 24×7 next-business-day at many Juniper Care tiers.

FAQ on Mist AP maintenance

Which Mist AP models do you service?
Complete Mist AP family: AP12 (wall plate, hospitality), AP21 (indoor entry, Wi-Fi 5), AP32 and AP33 (indoor mid-density, Wi-Fi 6/6E), AP41 (Wi-Fi 5/6), AP43 (indoor high-density, Wi-Fi 6/6E), AP63 (outdoor, Wi-Fi 6) and AP64 (hardened for industrial environments). Hardware replacement on defects, Mist Cloud subscription stays independent with Juniper.
What does TPM cost for Mist compared to Juniper Care?
30 to 50 percent savings for the hardware layer. With a fleet of 100 Mist APs (mixed AP32/AP43) with 24×7×4 hardware replacement: Juniper Care typically 12,000-18,000 EUR/year, TechCare 6,000-9,000 EUR. Important: The Mist Cloud subscription (typically 50-80 EUR per AP per year for cloud management and AI features) is separate — you continue to pay directly to Juniper.
What about the Mist Cloud subscription and Marvis?
The Mist Cloud subscription must stay with Juniper — it's a cloud service with AI-driven networking, Marvis Virtual Network Assistant, Wired Assurance, User Engagement Analytics and all cloud management features. TPM cannot replace this because it's a cloud service. TPM replaces only the hardware layer — when an AP is physically defective, we deliver OEM replacement hardware. Cloud functionality continues on the new hardware immediately once the AP connects to Mist Cloud.
How does the hardware replacement process work for Mist?
On AP defect: you report the issue via our support portal, we send a replacement AP within the SLA time (4h onsite for 24×7×4, NBD for 5×9). The defective AP is swapped. The new AP is automatically configured via the normal Mist Cloud onboarding routine (claim with activation code, auto-configuration from site template) — this happens within minutes without manual setup. Your Mist Cloud subscription stays unchanged.
Which SLA levels do you recommend for Mist?
Mist is designed redundantly as a wireless platform — APs cover each other, single AP failures usually mean only local coverage losses. 5×9 NBD is therefore economically appropriate for most sites. For AP fleets in critical areas (hospital, production, logistics) or single exposed APs without redundancy, 24×7×4 may make sense. For very large fleets we often recommend a mix — standard sites 5×9 NBD, critical sites 24×7×4.
Can you service older AP21/AP41 (Wi-Fi 5)?
Yes. AP21 and AP41 (released 2018, Wi-Fi 5) are still in use in many DACH Mist fleets — typically with customers who went on Mist early and see no Wi-Fi 6 refresh necessity. We stock both models. Mist Cloud subscription continues to support AP21/AP41 — Juniper has not announced a forced-EOSL roadmap for older Mist APs.
Can we have Mist and other Juniper lines (EX, QFX, MX, SRX) in the same contract?
Yes. Multi-class contracts are our strength — Mist as wireless, EX as campus switching, QFX as data center fabric, MX as WAN edge, SRX as security gateway, plus ACX as edge routing — all in one contract, one point of contact, one SLA report set. The Mist Cloud subscription stays with Juniper, but contracting is clearly separated.
How fast do we get a quote?
Within 48 hours after receipt of your inventory list with AP model, count per model, site distribution and desired SLA tier.
