Why Huawei maintenance via TechCare instead of Huawei Service / Huawei Premier Support

Huawei hardware in the European market is mainly deployed at telcos, larger mid-market companies and service providers that purchased Huawei in the 2010s as economic alternative to Cisco, HPE or Dell. In recent years Huawei has reduced service operations in Europe — many customers with active fleets increasingly struggle to find reliable service paths. Yet devices are technically often fine and can run for many more years.

We service all Huawei platforms with OEM original parts — mainboards, PSUs, disks, cache modules, linecards, SFP+/SFP28 optics of all generations. iManager software for switch management continues to work as part of the hardware.

What does TPM cost compared to Huawei Service?
30 to 60 percent savings vs. Huawei Service / Premier Support, up to 70 percent on EOSL models. A 2288H V5 with 24×7×4 costs 1,200 to 1,800 EUR/year with Huawei, 500 to 800 EUR with TechCare.
We had trouble renewing Huawei Service. What's the alternative?
This is a common situation in DACH. Huawei has withdrawn from parts of the service business, and many fleets no longer have a clear renewal path. Our TPM model provides exactly this: full hardware maintenance with OEM parts, SLAs up to 24×7×4, German-speaking engineers and a fixed service level.
Can you service older RH-series and OceanStor 18000?
Yes. RH1288 V3, RH2288 V3, RH5885 V3 (released 2014-2015, EOSL reached) and OceanStor 18500 V3 / 18800 V3 (EOSL reached) are still productive in many DACH data centers.
What about iManager and FusionCompute?
iManager (Network Management Tool) and FusionCompute (Server Management) are software components shipped with the hardware. They continue to work as part of the hardware.
Which SLA levels for Huawei?
Parts Only, 5×9 NBD, 24×7×4 — freely selectable. For OceanStor storage and core CloudEngine switches we recommend 24×7×4.
Do we lose the warranty?
No. Factory warranty and Huawei Service are contractual services.
