We service QNAP systems in the data centre and server room vendor-independently: TS-h rack NAS with QuTS hero, ES dual-controller systems, TVS-h and TDS-h models, the classic TS-xU series and the TL and REXP expansion units — current models as well as older generations after the manufacturer warranty ends. Replacement unit or spare part with SLAs from Parts Only to 24×7×4, drive migration and recovery via HBS or snapshot replication. QNAP often sits next to enterprise storage as backup target, video archive or file server — we take it into the same contract.

Why QNAP maintenance via TechCare instead of QNAP Garantieverlängerung
QNAP systems are found in the mid-market as backup target, video archive, file server and increasingly as ZFS storage for virtualisation. The manufacturer warranty runs two to five years and can be extended only to a limited extent and only within the warranty period. After that, a mainboard, power-supply or backplane defect means a new purchase — including migration and downtime.
We take over the hardware layer regardless of age: replacement unit or spare part per SLA, power supplies, fans, backplanes, expansion units, drive migration into the replacement system and recovery via HBS 3 or snapshot replication. QTS and QuTS hero software, licences and myQNAPcloud stay with the manufacturer. And because QNAP rarely stands alone, it runs in the same contract as your servers, enterprise storage and switches.

FAQ on QNAP maintenance
Do you also service current QNAP models, not only older TS-xU systems?
Yes. Model and serial number are enough, regardless of age. We take current TS-h or ES systems after the manufacturer warranty ends or as a complement.
What happens to the data when a unit is replaced?
We migrate the drives into the replacement unit (same or compatible model) and restore the QTS or QuTS hero configuration; if needed from HBS 3 or snapshot replication. Drives remain yours, replacement by agreement.
Do QTS, QuTS hero, licences and myQNAPcloud remain usable?
Yes. Operating system, apps, licences and cloud services are manufacturer software and continue unchanged. Our contract covers the hardware.
Do you also cover expansion units and JBODs?
Yes. TL and REXP units run as their own line item in the contract — power supply and backplane are the most frequent failure points there.
How quickly do we get a quote?
