NetApp Maintenance — all storage lines from a single source
We service the complete NetApp storage portfolio vendor-independently: FAS hybrid (mid-market to enterprise), AFF all-flash, the ASA block variant, E-Series for SAN attachment and StorageGRID object storage. Also after NetApp SupportEdge expiration. ONTAP software subscription stays with NetApp — we handle the hardware. Typical TPM topics at the storage layer: controller failover testing during replacement (data-loss risk on misconfiguration), microcode updates without OEM subscription, and SED encryption key management for DORA/NIS2 compliance.

NetApp product portfolio at a glance
We service all product lines — including older generations long past end-of-service-life. Every line with OEM original parts, German-speaking service and SLA up to 24×7×4.
Storage · Hybrid (FAS)
FAS · aktuell
DetailsCurrent FAS generation for mid-market to high-end.
FAS · Legacy
DetailsOlder FAS generations, often EOSL — TPM standard case.
Storage · All-Flash
Storage · Block (E-Series)
E-Series
DetailsBlock storage with Linux-based SANtricity stack — different from ONTAP.
Storage · Scale-Out (SolidFire)
SolidFire
DetailsAll-flash scale-out platform with its own Element OS software, originally from the 2015 SolidFire acquisition. Hardware maintenance separate from Element subscription.
Storage · OEM rebrands & object & shelves
IBM N-Series (NetApp-OEM)
DetailsNetApp FAS hardware rebranded and sold via IBM under the N-Series program. Hardware maintenance same as regular FAS systems.
StorageGRID
DetailsObject storage for backup repositories and cloud tier.
Disk Shelves
DetailsDisk expansion shelves for FAS and AFF.
How does TPM compare to the OEM contract?
Example AFF A400 with 4-year SupportEdge Premium: EUR 8,000–12,200/year OEM, EUR 5,200–5,400/year with TechCare TPM.
- EOSL hardware: On EOSL models (FAS3xxx/FAS6xxx, early AFF200) 50–70 % savings vs. SupportEdge — NetApp EOSL extensions usually only 1–2 years, then hard cut.
- Multi-year contract: 3-year TPM contract: additional 5–10 % discount, 5-year contract: 10–15 %. Plus fixed-price lock against OEM list-price increases.
- ONTAP software updates + new major versions
- BlueXP / Cloud Volumes / Active IQ subscriptions
- NetApp TAC software tickets
- Hardware defects (memory, disk, PSU, mainboard, modules)
- 24×7×4 on-site SLA with German-speaking field service
- Spare-parts logistics DACH + global hub network
- Fixed-price contract in 48 h, one inventory — one contract
Why NetApp maintenance via TechCare instead of NetApp SupportEdge
NetApp is storage standard in DACH mid-market and enterprise. Over the years a mix typically accumulates: active AFF A400 for performance workloads, older FAS8040 for tier-2, an E2800 for SAN, maybe a StorageGRID for backup. Plus multiple disk shelves of different generations. SupportEdge contracts expire at different times, and on older lines (FAS8000, AFF A200, E5600) renewal becomes disproportionately expensive.
We service all NetApp lines — FAS, AFF, ASA, E-Series, StorageGRID — under one contract. Storage-experienced engineers (ONTAP and SANtricity-aware, hardware-focused), OEM disks of all generations, NVRAM modules, controller FRUs, PCM modules. ONTAP subscription stays with NetApp — for active new feature use (SnapMirror Cloud, FabricPool, new ONTAP versions) that makes sense. For stable legacy setups TPM alone is often sufficient.
Storage-specific TPM topics: controller failover test after every part swap (no black-box replacement), microcode updates without OEM subscription via mirror repository, and SED encryption key management with documented custody chain for DORA/NIS2 compliance.
