Why F5 maintenance via TechCare instead of F5 Standard Support / F5 Premium Plus

F5 BIG-IP is at its core a software product — the hardware appliance is the platform for BIG-IP licenses like LTM, ASM, APM, AFM or DNS. F5 Premium Support typically bundles software and hardware support into one contract, which becomes expensive at hardware refresh.
