APC by Schneider is the dominant UPS brand in the European market — Smart-UPS in almost every server room, Symmetra in mid-sized data centers, Galaxy in large installations. UPS systems often have 10 to 15 years of technical lifespan (provided batteries are regularly replaced). APC Service Plan is above-average expensive.
We service all APC platforms with OEM original parts — power modules, bypass switches, control electronics, fans, inverter modules. Battery replacement we coordinate separately when needed.
UPS-specific TPM topics: battery pack diagnostics + planned replacement after capacity test (no reactive approach), bypass switch procedure before every module swap for zero downtime, and PFC/inverter module service without OEM lock-in. Battery recycling compliant with German DGUV standards.

Which APC UPS systems do you service?
We service the complete APC range: Smart-UPS family, Symmetra (LX and PX including older 1st generation), Galaxy (VS, VM, VL current as well as older 3500/5500/7000), Easy UPS and NetShelter PDUs.
What does TPM cost compared to APC Service Plan?
30 to 60 percent savings vs. APC Service Plan, up to 70 percent on EOSL models. A Symmetra PX 80kW with 24×7×4 costs 8,000 to 12,000 EUR/year with APC, 3,500 to 5,500 EUR with TechCare.
Are batteries part of the maintenance?
No — UPS batteries are consumables with their own lifespan (typically 4-7 years, depending on temperature and load). We coordinate battery replacement separately via established partners. Hardware maintenance contract covers UPS electronics, controls, fans, switches and inverters.
Can you service older Symmetra PX and Galaxy 3500?
Yes. Symmetra PX 1st generation (released 2007-2010, EOSL 2018-2020) and Galaxy 3500/5500/7000 (long past EOSL) are still productive in many DACH data centers. We stock power modules, bypass switches, control electronics, inverter cards and fans.
Which SLA levels for UPS?
Parts Only, 5×9 NBD, 24×7×4 — freely selectable. For Symmetra/Galaxy in productive data centers we recommend 24×7×4. For Smart-UPS in server rooms 5×9 NBD often suffices because UPS systems are usually configured redundantly (N+1 or 2N).
What about NMC Network Management Cards and EcoStruxure?
NMC cards as integrated management layer continue to work as part of the hardware. Firmware updates for newer NMC versions are limited without active APC contract. EcoStruxure as cloud platform runs separately via Schneider Electric.
Do we lose the warranty?
No. Factory warranty and APC Service Plan are contractual services.
