Fortinet is a dominant NGFW brand in the European market — especially in mid-market, with service providers and branch-centric deployments with many sites. FortiGuard subscriptions (IPS, Antivirus, Web Filtering, Application Control) are essential for the feature set. What does 'hardware-only maintenance' mean for Fortinet?
We replace defective hardware components — PSUs, fans, NVMe/SSD modules, motherboards, linecards on FortiGate chassis — with OEM original parts. FortiOS software, FortiGuard subscriptions, FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer software and code updates continue unchanged via Fortinet.

Do we lose the warranty or FortiGuard subscription?
No. Factory warranty and FortiCare are contractual services. FortiGuard subscriptions and FortiOS licenses run separately via Fortinet.
