DIEBOLD NIXDORF MAINTENANCE · TPM FOR ATM AND RETAIL

Diebold Nixdorf Maintenance — vendor-independent service for ATM, retail and data center hardware

We service Diebold Nixdorf hardware after manufacturer service expiration — ATMs of the CS and ProCash family, retail hardware from the BEETLE, TPiD and BA93/96 portfolio, and data center hardware from the former Wincor Nixdorf inventory. In the DACH market Diebold Nixdorf is historically dominant in banking (via the Wincor Nixdorf heritage) and retail. For ATM hardware regulatory frameworks apply — we review each individual case before contract signing. Typical TPM topics at the ATM layer: PCI-DSS / BSI / BaFin compliance on hardware replacements, cash-handling module service (banknote recognition, recycling), and field-engineer on-site service at bank branches.

Why Diebold Nixdorf maintenance via TechCare instead of Diebold Nixdorf Service / DN Field Service

Diebold Nixdorf is mainly present in the DACH banking and retail sector — through the Wincor Nixdorf heritage (2016 merger) the brand is represented in almost every German bank counter and many large retail chains. For ATM hardware the regulatory situation is complex: cash-handling equipment is subject to industry-specific certification requirements (PCI DSS, EBA Guidelines, BAFIN-relevant requirements) and the Bundesbank provides specifications for cash quality.

We service hardware components with OEM original parts. For ATMs we review each individual case before contract signing: which components are regulatorily certified? Which may be replaced without manufacturer certification? This clarification is part of the honest preliminary review. For retail hardware (BEETLE, TPiD, BA93/96) the regulatory requirements are lower.

ATM/self-service-specific TPM topics: cash recycler diagnostics with banknote spec databases, EPP tamper detection maintenance (PCI PIN requirements), and component replacement with EAL4 certification audit trail for BSI compliance.

FAQ on Diebold Nixdorf maintenance

Which Diebold Nixdorf hardware do you service?
We service ATMs of the CS family (CS 5500, 5550, 5550NV, 5550G), CINEO ATMs (C2050, C4060), ProCash family (4000, 4100, 2100, 2150), retail hardware (BEETLE family, TPiD touch systems, BA93/96, K-Three) and data center hardware from the Wincor Nixdorf heritage. For ATMs: individual review of regulatory framework before contract signing.
Which regulatory frameworks apply to ATMs?
Cash-handling equipment is subject to multiple requirements: PCI DSS for card components, EBA Guidelines at European level, BAFIN-relevant specifications in Germany, Bundesbank specifications for cash quality, and Common Criteria for security-relevant modules. We review concretely before contract signing which components are subject to certification requirements.
What does TPM cost compared to Diebold Nixdorf Service?
For retail hardware (BEETLE, TPiD, BA93/96) we see 30 to 60 percent savings vs. DN Field Service. For ATMs conditions depend heavily on scope — which components are regulatorily restricted and how the service model is structured.
Can you service older ProCash and CINEO?
For ProCash 4000/4100 and older CINEO models (released 2010-2014, EOSL reached or imminent) TPM is often the only available option as DN service contracts are no longer renewed.
Which SLA levels for ATMs?
For ATMs 24×7×4 is typical due to availability criticality — ATMs must work around the clock. For retail hardware in stores 5×9 NBD often suffices.
Does TechCare offer cash logistics (cash replenishment)?
No — cash logistics (cash replenishment, cassette swaps, cash transport) is a separate discipline with its own requirements (valuables transport, insurance logic, Bundesbank connectivity). We handle the hardware layer of ATMs.
Do we lose the warranty or certifications?
Factory warranty and DN Service are contractual services. For hardware certifications (PCI DSS, Common Criteria) it depends on which components are replaced and by whom. For security-relevant components we clarify individually whether a replacement by TechCare maintains certification.
